The No.19-ranked BYU women’s gymnastics team has secured a second-place finish at the fifth annual Best of Utah meet on January 15, 2024, at the Maverik Center. The BYU gymnasts showcase their skills with a score of 195.775.
The University of Utah claimed the top spot with a final score of 197.725. At the same time, SUU and Utah State secured scores of 194.000 and 193.600, respectively.
West Virginia University Women’s Gymnastics has a rich history dating back to the 1973-1974 season. Their first coach, Nanette Schnaible, led them to a 5-2 record in their first season. They’ve competed against teams like Fairmont, Frostburg, Pitt, and Slippery Rock.
A significant achievement for them occurred on March 18, 2023, when they hosted the Big 12 Championship for the first time. The event set the second-highest attendance record in the history of their program.
