He studied at Indiana University, where he earned his master’s degree in higher education and student affairs administration. 

He also obtained a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College. 

Before coming to Brigham Young University (BYU), Utt played significant roles in various administrative positions at different universities throughout the Midwest.

BYU will broadcast the address live on various platforms, including BYUtv, BYUtv.org, KBYU-TV 11, Classical 89 FM, BYUradio 107.9 FM, and SiriusXM 143.
