Well\, get ready to mark your calendars for America’s Freedom Festival in Provo\, Utah in 2023!  \nThis annual festival has been around since the 1870s\, way before Utah even became a state!  \nEach year\, the festival mounts over 25 annual events starting in March\, but the real highlight is on the Fourth of July. And let me tell you\, the events they organize are truly amazing! \n\nHere are some of the events that you simply cannot miss: \n2023 Firecracker Softball Tournament\n\nCome on out to Footprinter Park in Provo and enjoy this fun and unique softball tournament. There will be tournaments for almost all classifications\, skill competitions\, food trucks\, and awards to recognize the champions. The tournament will run from June 9-17\, 2023. Freedom Festival’s Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held on June 14\, 2023. \n2023 Summer Beach Party\nNow at it’s 10th year\, the Freedom Festival’s Summer Beach Party has always been one of the many highlights of this yearly celebration. There’s something for everyone on this evening of beach time fun. So make a splash on June 23 by sporting your shades and join some fun beach games\, life-sized photo ops and live entertainment! \n2023 Children’s Parade\nThe Children’s Parade is not only a fun activity for the family\, it also is a chance to educate the youth on freedom and respect. Children are arranged in different categories and accompanied by the Provo and Timpview High School marching bands. The parade lasts almost 45 minutes and participants have the chance to meet important public servants plus a treat at the end. \n2023 Freedom Awards Gala\nThose who risked their lives to preserve our freedom deserve to be recognized and the Freedom Awards Gala is an opportunity to express our gratitude to them. Join us as we present the award recipients who will join an impressive list of previous honorees who have each made unique contributions to the defense and sharing of the traditional American values. \nEvents at the American Freedom Festival also include the Grand Parade\, Freedom Run\, Balloon Fest\, and so much more. DESCRIPTION:Date and Time of National Day of Prayer in Provo/Orem\, Utah \nWe will be observing the National Day of Prayer in Provo\, Utah on May 4\, 2023.  \nThe morning event will kick off bright and early at 7:00 a.m. Make sure to set your alarms early\, so you can join us for this special occasion.  \nThe evening event will start at 7:00 p.m. \n\nLocation of National Day of Prayer in Provo/Orem\, Utah \nThe morning event is will be held at the Harman Building\, which is located at 770 East University Parkway in Provo\, Utah.  \nIn the evening\, we will continue our prayers at the Orem Library\, which is located at 58 North State St. in Orem\, Utah. \n\nAbout National Day of Prayer in Provo/Orem\, Utah \nThe National Day of Prayer is almost here!  \nFor those of you who don’t know\, the National Day of Prayer is an annual event that’s been observed since 1952.  \nIt takes place on the first Thursday in May every year\, and it’s time for people of all faiths to come together and pray for our nation\, our communities\, and our families.  \nThis year’s celebration in Utah is going to be amazing! We have two different locations where you can participate.  \nThe morning event will take place at the Harman Building in Provo\, Utah\, starting at 7:00 a.m. We’re delighted to have Noelle Pikus-Pace as our keynote speaker.   \nYou may recognize her name from the 2014 Winter Olympics\, where she won a silver medal in the skeleton event.  \nHer story is so inspiring\, and I know she’ll bring a lot of energy and motivation to our event.  \nOur emcee for the morning will be Bill Hulterstrom from the United Way of Utah County. He’ll be guiding us through the event and introducing the various interfaith leaders who will be offering prayers and reflections.  \nIn the evening\, head over to the Orem Library at 7:00 p.m. for an amazing event hosted by Steven Kapp Perry.  \nOur keynote speaker for the evening event will be Jared Halverson\, a religious scholar and instructor\, and host of the famous podcast\, “Unshaken”. \nHe is devoted to strengthening faith in Jesus Christ and helping people stand firm in their beliefs despite the challenges of modern times. \nWe’ll also be treated to some beautiful performances by the Daddy-Daughter Duo\, Mat and Savanna Shaw\, and the Utah Valley Interfaith Choir.  \nMark your calendars and plan to attend one or both of these amazing events! It’s going to be a powerful and uplifting event that you won’t want to miss. \nSee you there!
