We have two different locations where you can participate.  \nThe morning event will take place at the Harman Building in Provo\, Utah\, starting at 7:00 a.m. We’re delighted to have Noelle Pikus-Pace as our keynote speaker.   \nYou may recognize her name from the 2014 Winter Olympics\, where she won a silver medal in the skeleton event.  \nHer story is so inspiring\, and I know she’ll bring a lot of energy and motivation to our event.  \nOur emcee for the morning will be Bill Hulterstrom from the United Way of Utah County. He’ll be guiding us through the event and introducing the various interfaith leaders who will be offering prayers and reflections.  \nIn the evening\, head over to the Orem Library at 7:00 p.m. for an amazing event hosted by Steven Kapp Perry.  \nOur keynote speaker for the evening event will be Jared Halverson\, a religious scholar and instructor\, and host of the famous podcast\, “Unshaken”. \nHe is devoted to strengthening faith in Jesus Christ and helping people stand firm in their beliefs despite the challenges of modern times. \nWe’ll also be treated to some beautiful performances by the Daddy-Daughter Duo\, Mat and Savanna Shaw\, and the Utah Valley Interfaith Choir.  \nMark your calendars and plan to attend one or both of these amazing events! With a 5\,883 feet elevation gain on the marathon course\, it might take you between five and six hours to finish it.  \nYou’ll be running on a mountain trail and fire break road with only a few asphalt crossings. You might know Brent as a distinguished academician and researcher who has made huge contributions to his field and to BYU.  \nHe earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from our very own BYU.  \nHe continued his studies and obtained his doctorate from Purdue University\, where he was awarded the prestigious Presidential Young Investigator title by the National Science Foundation.  \nBrent Webb came back to Brigham Young University in 1986 as a member of the mechanical engineering faculty. Since then\, he’s accomplished so much more.  \nHe’s authored over 200 publications. He’s even developed software that’s used in industrial production in America and Japan. How amazing is that?  \nBut that’s not all. Brent W. Webb has also held various administrative roles at BYU\, including as the university’s Academic Vice President from 2011 to 2017.  \nHe’s a true inspiration to all of us who want to combine academic excellence with leadership and service.  \nYou can watch the lecture live on BYUtv\, BYUtv.org\, KBYU-TV 11\, Classical 89 FM\, BYUradio 107.9 FM\, and SiriusXM 143.
