Reese has been at BYU since 2001 as a member of the statistics faculty\, and has been serving as the academic vice president since 2019.  \nReese has made significant contributions to BYU over the years\, including his role as dean of the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences from 2017-2019.  \nAs an educator and researcher\, Reese specializes in Bayesian hierarchical models and Bayesian optimal experimental designs. He has received numerous accolades\, including BYU’s Young Scholar Award in 2004 and the BYU Karl G. Master Excellence in Teaching Award in 2010.  \nReese also worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Computer\, Computational\, and Statistical Sciences Division before pursuing his academic career.  \nReese’s inauguration ceremony is a great occasion to celebrate his achievements and BYU’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence.  \nJoin us on September 19th\, either on-campus and online\, as we commemorate BYU’s 14th Presidential Inauguration!

I’m beyond excited to give you every detail of the events\, perfect for the little ones.  \n1. Imagication: Jack and Sally  \nWhen: Monday\, October 30\, 2023\, at 11:00 a.m. MDT \nWho doesn’t love the stories of Jack and Sally? We sure do! Bring your kids and let them dive into their incredible adventures. Space is limited\, and we’re expecting lots of little enthusiasts\, so kiddos must register. There is no need for parents or caregivers to register. For any last-minute updates\, visit the University Place Orem event website.  \n2. Imagination: Run\, Turkey\, Run!  \nWhen: November 6\, 2023\, at 11:00 a.m. MDT  \nThe storyteller dives into the story “Run\, Turkey\, Run!” by Diane Mayr. After the storytime\, the fun continues with an awesome craft session. Your little ones can let their creativity run wild and explore their artistic side!  \n3. Imagication: Elsa and Anna  \nWhen: November 13\, 2023\, at 11:00 a.m.  \nFor all the kids who adore Elsa and Anna\, here’s a chance to meet and listen to their enchanting tales. Their adventures are featured in the Disney “Frozen” movies and are about love\, bravery\, and sisterly bonds.  \nIt’s an opportunity to let your kids become part of the “Frozen” magic again and maybe even sing along to their favorite tunes! \nThese ‘Imagication’ events promise fun and laughter for your little ones. It’s all about sparkling imagination and making memories. So\, grab those calendars and set your alarms for registration! See you there!  \nGuidelines for all “Imagication” Events:  \n\nYou’ll need to register (you can snag up to 3 tickets at a time). \nThis program is exclusively for kids aged 2-5. \nShow up on time\, and allow some extra time for check-in at the University Place table. \nMake sure to register your little children. \nImagication programs require parental or caregiver supervision. By registering a child\, you agree to oversee and assist them during the event. \nRelease your tickets if you can’t attend to allow others to enjoy the event.
