Orem, Utah, welcomes the Year of the Dragon with a Lunar New Year event on February 10, 2024.
The heart of the celebration is the Lion Dance Parade, a performance that symbolizes wisdom, power, and good luck. The lions bring good fortune to the community, and it’s extra lucky if you get touched by one! You can even “feed” the lion with a red envelope for good luck and to support the talented martial arts troupe.
Event Schedule:
- 12:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. Lion Dance Parades
Watch the Lions parade from RC Willey to Dillard’s.
- 6:00 p.m. Lion Dance Parade
The evening parade goes from RC Willey to The Orchard, ending with a fireworks display in The Orchard.
The fireworks will launch from the North Parking Lot between Rush Funplex and Costco.
After the 6:00 p.m. Lion Dance Parade in The Orchard, enjoy tasty treats from P.F. Chang’s (while supplies last). Don’t forget to take pictures with the performers after each parade.
