Mozart’s ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’ will be performed at the West Campus Mainstage Theatre, Brigham Young University, located at 1125 N University Avenue, Provo, UT 84604.
Brigham Young University (BYU) has an upcoming production of Mozart and Da Ponte’s comedic opera, “Cosi fan tutte.” Everyone is invited, including kids ages 8 and up!
This opera, composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and librettist Lorenzo da Ponte, first appeared in Vienna on January 26, 1790. It is the third collaboration between Mozart and da Ponte, following “The Marriage of Figaro” (1786) and “Don Giovanni” (1787).
The opera revolves around two young men who make a playful bet while pretending to be Albanian princes, trying to seduce each other’s fiancee.
