About Freedom Festival - Grand Parade in Provo, Utah

Are you looking for the ultimate way to celebrate America’s independence with your family and friends? Look no further than the Freedom Festival Grand Parade in Provo, Utah!

Taking place on July 4th at 9:00 a.m., this parade is more than just a traditional march down the street. It’s a live performance filled with floats, marching bands, performers, and balloons!

You and your family will love the patriotic spirit celebrating our great country.

The parade will start at 1000 N. University Ave. and proceeds south to 200 S., where it will turn east to 200 E. From there, it will turn north to Center St., and then turn east again and end at 900 E.

Utah can really heat up in July, but don’t worry.

Shaded areas are along the parade route, and my favorite spot is on Center Street. Why not grab a seat under one of those trees and enjoy the parade in comfort!

Freedom Festival Grand Parade Candy Toss

Now, who doesn’t love a good candy toss?

The parade tosses tons of candy, and if you have kids around, you’ll want to be at the beginning of the route. You may miss out on the goodies if you wait until the end.

The Grand Parade is always packed with people, so it’s best to stake out your place in advance.

You can camp out the night before on University Avenue if you’re feeling adventurous. That way, you’ll have a prime spot and won’t have to worry about the crowds.

For the best views of the parade, I highly recommend getting a reserved bleacher seat.

You can grab a reserved bleacher seat before they sell out. The first day of sales is on June 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Utah Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau.

After that, you can get your tickets at the Freedom Festival offices until they’re sold out. Feel free to call at 801-818-1776 if you want more information.

So mark your calendars now, and don’t miss out on the most thrilling parade in Provo, Utah!

There’s no better way to celebrate America’s independence and family values than by joining the Freedom Festival Grand Parade.

Can’t wait to see you there!

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
