About the 2023 Timp Trail Marathon and Half in Orem, Utah

Are you ready for a one-of-a-kind racing experience? I’ve got the event for you - the 2023 Timp Trail Marathon and Half in Orem, Utah!

This isn’t your traditional marathon, so don’t expect to finish it in under four hours. With a 5,883 feet elevation gain on the marathon course, it might take you between five and six hours to finish it.

You’ll be running on a mountain trail and fire break road with only a few asphalt crossings. You’ll face technical sections of ascent and descent, mud, potential stream crossings, and rocks.

It’s definitely not for the faint of the heart, but if you’re up for a challenge, this is the race for you.

Every participant will receive a high-quality race shirt and a finisher’s medal that’s specific to their distance. You’ll receive a plaque if you’re lucky enough to be an overall male or female winner or a top age group winner.

You’ll need to carry water with you to keep you hydrated throughout the race. The organizers highly recommend you bring your own hydration pack, handheld, or fanny pack.

Registration is open now. Make sure you sign up early to secure your race shirt and medal. You can register easily by clicking here

You can also lend a helping hand by volunteering at the Timp Trail Marathon and Half. Just email for more information. Volunteers are always appreciated!

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
