Valentine’s Day is near, and Brigham Young University’s School of Music is preparing for an event called “Love is in the Air!” by the BYU Symphonic Band. This concert features around 75 talented musicians.
The BYU Symphonic Band is well-known for showcasing the best band music from different historical periods. They play new compositions for the wind idiom and works crafted by the school’s faculty and students.
They’re committed to maintaining high standards and helping members develop their artistic skills.
While most band members are music majors, the BYU Symphonic Band welcomes non-majors, too. They believe in giving everyone a chance to grow as musicians.
Membership in the BYU Symphonic Band is determined through auditions held each fall.
