Sir David Lean is one of the most influential figures in British cinema. His masterpieces include “The Bridge on the River Kwai,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Doctor Zhivago,” and “A Passage to India.”
His earlier gems, ‘Hobson’s Choice,’ revolves around the humorous tale of businessman Henry Hobson. When Hobson forbids his daughters from dating or marrying, his resourceful daughters devise a plan to overcome their father’s strict rules.
