The Provo City Library invites artists of all ages to participate in the “Homegrown: The Provo Amateur Art Show.” It’s a yearly event where artists can share their creations with the community.

The event is for Provo's amateur artists, defined as those not deriving a steady income from or teaching art.

You can submit 2-D or 3-D visual art, including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and more! There are prizes in two categories:

  • Youth (ages 3-18)
  • Adults (ages 18 and above)

Rules to Follow:

  1. You need to have a Provo City Library card to participate.
  2. Each person can submit up to 3 artworks, though entry does not guarantee acceptance.
  3. Artworks should avoid showing nudity, extreme violence, or using harsh language.
  4. Don’t use perishable materials or glitter in your artwork.

For 3-D Art:

  • Needs to be ready for safe display.
  • It should be no taller than 16 inches if it's for a display case.
  • Non-breakable pieces shouldn’t be bigger than 60 inches in any dimension.
  • 3-D entries may be excluded if safe display is a concern.

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
