One of the unique things about Provo, besides having more ice cream shops than I have ever seen in any state, are the many Soda shops!
I’ve lived in many states but Utah is the only state where I see a soda shop on nearly every corner of the town where there is traffic. There is a soda shop in my neighborhood!
The influence of LDS Church culture on the soda scene is significant. In the past, members would avoid "hot drinks" like coffee and tea. This unique dietary restriction has made soda mixes a popular and refreshing beverage choice for the general public.

Swig Drinks in Provo, Utah, is a dream place for soda lovers! Some of my children were amazed by all their different sodas. One of their favorites is ‘Big Al’ – Diet Coke with coconut and lime for $2.45, perfect for hot days!
