About my journey ...

I love living in Provo, Utah! It has been a dream of mine for 30+ years to move back to Utah. I lived here in 1980 and in 1987. My youngest daughter was born in Orem, Utah. For the past 26 years I lived in Wellington, Florida. About 8 years ago, my youngest daughter ( the one who was born here in Utah) moved back here with her two littles.

And that was the beginning of my desire and yearning to move back to the mountains!

My youngest daughter first moved to Logan, Utah. What an Eden Logan is! Since the summers are so brutal in South Florida, my youngest son and I would come to spend our summers in Utah.

First it was Logan. I fell in love with Logan. Being so close to the Cache National Forest was amazing and nothing beats Bear Lake! The funnest part is we would drive about 2 to 3 minutes from her townhouse to fish for trout in the river! Such great memories.

Logan has really grown a lot just since we were going there for the summers. Then a couple of years later my daughter was offered a really good position in Eagle Mountain so she moved to Vineyard.

She then met her now husband and moved to Orem. My youngest son was a teenager so we had a lot of fun coming here for the summers.

He would go to the BYU baseball camps and EFY sessions at BYU. The rest of the summer we would go boating at Deer Creek Reservoir and tubing down Provo River.

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ( LDS). One of my dreams has been to live within walking distance to a Temple. And guess what! In 2021 my dream came true! I am a 10 minute walk from the Provo Temple

I can see the Temple from many of my neighbor's living room windows. I can't quite see it from mine but the beautiful Provo hills and mountains are my backdrop which are to die for. I also have a view of the Temple on most of my drives home from shopping and other appointments.

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do.

I am excited to share my favorite places to go in Provo, Utah and near Provo.
