About Film Screening: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty at Brigham Young University (BYU) Museum of Art in Provo, Utah

Brigham Young University (BYU) Museum of Art presents a special screening of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.” Mark your calendars because this film event is scheduled for Friday, November 17, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'' is an uplifting and visually stunning journey that looks into the search for beauty in everyday and extraordinary moments. This gem was released in 2013 and follows the adventures of Walter Mitty, an employee at LIFE Magazine, who learns the art of living to the fullest.

The film blends Walter’s daydreams with his real-life escapades, showing that there’s a little extraordinary in the ordinary. It’s a warm reminder that each moment brings wonder and discovery.

But wait, there’s more to this movie night! We’re also celebrating the "LIFE: Six Women Photographers” exhibition. This exhibit highlights the incredible work of six talented women photographers whose lenses have captured life, humanity, and beauty in all its forms.

This event goes beyond a standard movie night. When you enter the BYU Museum of Art, you won’t just watch “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.” You’ll also get to:

  • Mingle with other movie buffs and enjoy some tasty refreshments
  • Dive into a photo opportunity to create your memories
  • Try your hand at an art activity that’ll let your inner artist shine

Here’s the best part: this event is free and open to everyone! Remember, seats are limited, so grab your spot by registering through Eventbrite.

We’re excited to welcome you to this unforgettable cinematic adventure. Circle the date, spread the word, and sign up to claim your seat.

See you on November 17, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a movie night!

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
