Healthy Food Access Walk in Provo Utah 2026 | Help Build a Healthier Community

By Katerina Gasset

Join the Healthy Food Access Walk at the Provo Recreation Center

One of the things I appreciate most about living in Provo is how much our community cares about improving the quality of life for everyone.

The Healthy Food Access Walk is a great example of that community spirit in action. This special event brings together residents, local leaders, health professionals, students, and community organizations to explore how we can improve access to healthy food, transportation, and walkability throughout Provo.

If you've ever wanted to have a voice in shaping the future of our community, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.

What Is the Healthy Food Access Walk?

The Healthy Food Access Walk is a community engagement event that focuses on understanding how residents access food, transportation, sidewalks, crossings, and neighborhood resources.

Participants will walk approximately one mile along designated routes near the Provo Recreation Center while discussing opportunities to strengthen community well-being and improve access to healthy food options.

The feedback gathered during the event will help inform future community planning and health initiatives in Provo.

Why Community Events Like This Matter

As someone who spends a lot of time exploring Provo and sharing local resources, I love seeing residents take an active role in improving our city.

Healthy communities don't happen by accident. They happen when neighbors come together, share ideas, and work toward common goals.

Events like the Healthy Food Access Walk help create conversations that can lead to meaningful improvements for families, neighborhoods, and future generations.

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
