The Theatre Ballet Studio Company presents “Art in Motion” – a concert celebrating the incredible talents of female artists and composers.
The Theatre Ballet Studio Company, formerly the Ballet Showcase Company, has partnered with the Design Department to craft “Art in Motion.”
What makes “Art in Motion” unique is the incredible team behind the scenes. The creative geniuses behind the show include Hilary Wolfley, director of the Theatre Ballet Studio Company, Ashley Parov, director of Theatre Ballet, and Shayla Bott, the Chair of the Department of Dance at BYU.
Wolfley revealed that the idea has been made for quite some time. “We were thinking about how we could highlight artists that may not get the type of attention that their male counterparts have received,” she said. The result? “Art in Motion” - a beautiful tribute to female artists who deserve their moment in the spotlight.
But that’s not all. “Art in Motion” is inspired by immersive art exhibitions like the Van Gogh exhibit in Salt Lake City.
