BYU 150 Night of Light 2026: “World On Campus” in Provo, Utah

By Katerina Gasset

If you’re anywhere near Provo on Friday, February 20, 2026, this is one of those nights you don’t want to miss. I’ll be heading to BYU’s Night of Light: World On Campus, and honestly… it sounds incredible.

As part of BYU’s 150th celebration, this special February Night of Light theme highlights the idea that “the world is our campus.” And if you love culture, music, museums, service, or just experiencing something different in Utah County — this event checks all the boxes.

BYU 150 Night of Light “World On Campus”

  • Date: Friday, February 20, 2026
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM (MST)
  • Location: Brigham Young University
  • Address: 150 E Cougar Blvd, Provo, UT 84602

This campus-wide celebration transforms BYU into a global experience for one night — and everything is walkable, which makes it even better.

What to Expect at BYU Night of Light 2026

BYU Singers and Concert Choir performing Fauré's Requiem at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, showcasing a harmonious blend of choral voices with a solemn and reflective atmosphere.

This isn’t just a single performance or exhibit — it’s an immersive cultural experience across campus.

Scavenger Hunts & Global Walking Tours

Explore different regions of the world through guided walking tours and scavenger hunts starting at:

  • HC
  • WSC
  • LSB

It’s such a fun way to see campus through a totally different lens.

Cultural Performances & International Choirs

If you love live music (I do), this is going to be beautiful.

  • Student International Choirs performing in various languages
  • Cultural performances representing different continents

You’ll hear global sounds and see traditions from around the world — all in one evening.

Hold a First-Edition Book of Mormon in 10 Languages

This is such a rare opportunity.

You’ll be able to hold a first-edition Book of Mormon and view copies in 10 different languages at the BYU Library atrium. For history lovers and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this is incredibly meaningful.

Planetarium Show

Explore the universe with a BYU planetarium show. It’s such a cool addition to the “World On Campus” theme — because really, why stop at Earth?

Map-a-thon Service Project

One of my favorite parts? There’s a humanitarian angle.

You can join a map-a-thon service project helping update global maps used for humanitarian efforts worldwide. It’s hands-on, meaningful, and such a perfect reflection of BYU’s global mission.

BYU Museums – Special After Hours Access

Several campus museums will be open late, which almost never happens.

Participating museums include:

  • Bean Life Science Museum
  • Education in Zion Gallery (JFSB)
  • BYU Museum of Art
  • BYU Museum of Paleontology
  • BYU Museum of Peoples and Cultures

If you’re new to Provo or considering moving here, this is such a great way to experience how vibrant and globally connected the campus really is.

One thing I always tell people considering a move to Provo, Utah is this: it’s not just about the mountains (although those are amazing). It’s about the community and the culture.

Events like BYU 150 Night of Light “World On Campus” showcase how globally connected and service-oriented this area is. You can experience international culture, music, art, history, and humanitarian service — all in one night, all in one place.

About the author of Move to Provo Utah Website

Katerina Gasset

When I moved here I was blessed to have my daughter to help with different things you need to know when you move to a new place. I had background from living here before but things have changed a lot too since the '80s.

We were able to get all the good places to eat down fast - since she knows all that and we have a lot of the same likes in food. But things like how to turn on my electricity or what power company services my home... well... I was at a total loss!

I know that other people moving to Provo don't always have family here to guide and help them. And most people don't have a real estate agent who gives them a welcome package on all the important numbers and places they need to know.

My goal is for this website to be your go to resource for everything you need to know before, during, and after you move here to Provo, Utah. I want you to have the best experience and love living here as much as I do
