Fancy Burger at 37 W University Pkwy in Orem (very close to Provo) is in the same shopping area as Barnes and Nobles, close to Crumbl Cookies.
This is a brand-new burger restaurant as of May 2023.
Fancy Burger paid for a full page ad in one of the local community free circulars that is sent to our home. This is what piqued my interest in trying this new hamburger restaurant.
They did not include a special or a coupon.
The did include their pricing for the regular menu items but not for their monthly “Fancy Burger” which runs between $27 and $37 for one burger!
Three of us went to try Fancy Burger on their grand opening day. It was crowded, but we were able to get a table because we know to go before the rush hour!
The atmosphere is really fun, bustling, and high end… I enjoyed the decor, the live music, and the open kitchen.
NOTICE: They do NOT serve alcohol in this restaurant, not even at the bar.
I highly recommend getting a reservation because Fancy Burger is going to get very popular quickly.
The Fancy Burger offers a specialty burger each month. Each month it is a different option. For May the Fancy Burger was fennel crusted roasted pork belly, quail eggs, prickly pear hollandaise and pickled shallots with a custom sauce on the Hokkaido milk bun. These are pricey! This one was $37.
There were things I really loved about Fancy Burger in Orem and a few things, not so much:).
Things I loved about Fancy Burger:
- The buns they use are Hokkaido Milk Buns which are super soft yet hold together well.
- The few menu items are a good choice for a new restaurant as it makes service better, faster, and the restaurant can cut down on food costs.
- Fancy Burger is family owned and operated! LOVE THIS! Support Local!
- The burgers are made from steak ends and are thin. Perfectly grilled and fresh.
- The salad, only one choice - was delicious.
- The live music! I love how they have a gorgeous grand piano in the corner of the front area of the restaurant.
- It was so fun to experience all the “luxury high-end” touches including gold silverware shaped like some king and queen would use.
- I love that they don’t serve alcohol! This means the kids can sit up at the bar and eat while watching the cooks grill their burgers.
- Open kitchen are the best! You get to see how your food is cooked and whether they pick up a dropped burger and throw it back on the grill or not :).
Things I didn’t love about Fancy Burger:
The fries were ok. Nothing to write home about.
They don’t serve all the food at the same time. We got our fries way before our burgers came out. The salad came out last, when that should have been first.
Their milkshakes, which cool in the way they create them, are super small and cost way too much for the amount of milkshake you get.

You can tell every detail has been meticulously thought out to create a warm and welcoming experience.
Fancy Burger has been making waves on Tiktok ( Embed the Tiktok) lately for their unique burgers and fluffy buns, and I can certainly see why. Their attention to detail and high-quality ingredients make them stand out.
They even have an Instagram account that you can follow to stay updated on their latest specials, events, and menu additions.

I give Fancy Burger 5 stars because they did a great job with their decor, atmosphere, and ambiance for a family owned upscale burger restaurant. Being family owned means a lot to me. I want this restaurant to succeed. I love how they made it truly an alcohol-free family high-end restaurant for the experience!
