We had been planning our visit to Evermore Park in Pleasant Grove, Utah for months. We heard about their Christmas Renaissance-style fantasy event that was happening right before Christmas, so I knew it would be the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season!
We were so excited when we arrived at the park because it was beautiful! The style of the theme park is medieval.
We saw a lot of the guests dressed up in period costume and participating in medieval period activities.
We tried our hand at knife throwing. It was fun. But I recommend doing this activity when it is not 20 degrees outside. A different season would have made our time in the park more enjoyable. The cold really took away some of the charm.
This theme park is mostly outside. As for food options, Evermore Park offers theme concessions stands.
Kettle Cafe is your go-to-spot for burgers, chicken, and fries. You can also check Barter’s West if sandwiches are more your style.
You can try Baster’s East soups and bread bowls if you’re looking for something heartier. They’re a great way to warm up on colder days! Copper Confection served up baked goods, hot drinks, and candies if you’re looking for something sweet.
Don’t forget their additional options! Hex Trove is where you can get churros as well as Tavern which offers milk and cookies – yum!
Most of us went for the classic cheeseburger and fries, which both tasted like typical fair style quality. Not gourmet, but with a gourmet price. We expected this as it is a theme park. Overpriced and not the greatest quality of food.
Sodas and water are also available if you need some refreshment.
Evermore Park does not serve coffee or alcohol and is very family centered. So if you are looking for a place to drink, this is not it. If you want Starbuck’s, this is not it. 🙂
One of the buildings is an old medieval style bakery. Their cookies were delicious. You can buy an entire pie or just one slice if you wanted something smaller. There was an assortment of cookies, blueberry muffins, and walnut streusel. The streusel was dry, unfortunately.
We went during the theme of “Aurora”. It was magical because the entire park was lit up with Christmas lights. We started by walking around and marveling at all the decorations and attractions. Then we hopped on the train ride, which takes you around the perimeter of the Evermore Park.
We purchased the all-inclusive tickets. That included entrance to Evermore Park, one entrée, one drink, one dessert, ice skating session and the train ride. We had so much fun exploring every corner of this amazing park.
History of Evermore Park near Provo Utah
I did some digging, and here’s the story of how Evermore Park came to be: it all began with Ken Bretschneider and his crew of friends and family. They had a simple idea: create a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience in his own home in Utah. They went all out with a super cool ghost pirate theme and after many months of hard work, his house attracted over 11,000 visitors in 2013!
This success sparked the idea for something even bigger –Evermore Park.
Bretschneider recruited top talent such as Disney Imagineers, Hollywood special effects artists, and local artists. All of them bring their own knowledge and ideas to make the park truly magical.
It took a lot of time and money to get the park ready, but eventually Evermore Park opened its doors in September 2018.
The founder, Ken Bretchneider, has a knack for creating ambitious projects that bring joy and entertainment to people. Before founding the park, he started DigiCert - a Utah Valley company that keeps websites secure and safe. But you can tell his passion lies in dreaming up something fun, interactive, and unique.
Fast-forward to today: Evermore Park is like stepping into another world with its Victorian-inspired aesthetic. Everything in the park was designed with detail in mind –from the customs and sets to the interactive experiences. It’s full of mystery and wonder that only gets better with each season!

Evermore Park in Pleasant Grove, Utah is a fantastic place to bring your children. The children had so much fun in spite of the cold weather. Since I am a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and don’t drink alcohol, I appreciated the “dry” experience of the theme park.
