Hungry for some tacos? Who doesn’t love a great taco?
One of my daughters and I were getting some needed outfits required by her work. We just left Burlington’s Coat Factory in Orem near the University Mall when she spied this little Taco restaurant called...
Jurassic Street Tacos.
It’s right around the corner from Provo in Orem on East University Parkway.
When I think of street tacos, I imagine small tiny tortillas like the kind you get from some of the little taco trucks. They do offer the small ones but you will be tempted by the Jurassic options!
The tacos at Jurassic Street Tacos are anything but small even though they do have 5 Taco trucks serving small to large tacos.
The location we went to was the restaurant location in the same strip mall as Barnes and Nobles Book store, In and Out Burgers, and over to the side of Leatherby’s Family Creamery.
I ordered the Apatosaurus; a flour tortilla, anaheim pepper, cabbage, pico, guacamole, and melted cheese. It was so delicious!
Jurassic Tacos offers a bar where you can choose your level of heat in your salsa and hot sauces. YUMMY!
There is also cabbage, radishes, and many other delicious Mexican add-ons to help yourself to.
As you can see, I ordered the vegetarian version with no meat. But their meat options contain huge portions of meat.
And if you are a fish taco person… they have fish and shrimp tacos.
How Jurassic Street Tacos Started in Orem Utah
It all started back in 2016 when Fernando and his family, decided to set up a small taco cart outside their house in Orem, Utah. It all began with a simple goal - to be the best in the area and make sure everyone could enjoy their awesome tacos.
And they have succeeded! From that small cart, Jurassic Street Tacos has now expanded to five trucks and their first storefront restaurant!
Their food truck business grows exponentially as more people get to know about their delicious tacos.
Even the pandemic of 2020 couldn’t stop them! In fact, the family made the bold move and opened their first brick and mortar location in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
In just 8 short months, they opened their second location in the heart of Orem, Utah.
Not only that, but they are also on the path to nationwide expansion with the creation of their “Licensing Agreement.” This agreement allows investors and fans to become partners in Jurassic Tacos franchises.
That’s right, the Jurassic Tacos family is looking to bring their unique flavors to taco lovers across the country.
