There are several great places to get ice cream around here, but I have my three favorites.
My favorite ice cream in all of Utah is the BYU Creamery near the BYU campus. The BYU Creamery is always busy because it’s right next to the campus. But the line moves quickly, and the ice cream is worth it.
Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream in Downtown Provo on Center Street is also worth checking out.
My third favorite ice cream in Provo/Orem is Sweet Rolled Tacos.
Sweet Rolled Tacos is the place to go if you’re looking for a unique ice cream experience.
This business is the brainchild of two brothers, Donovan and Kelly Tran, in May 2017.
You won’t find any other ice cream place like it. I am surprised by how unique the concept is. There are all sorts of toppings and flavors to choose from, and the ice cream is rolled up in a waffle taco cone.
Sweet Rolled Tacos quickly gained a following for its inventive menu and fun atmosphere.

I have been to Sweet Rolled Tacos on a few occasions, around midday in the summer and on Friday nights, and I can say that Friday nights are definitely the busiest time. The place is packed with people, and there’s usually a long line of people waiting to get their hands on some of Sweet Rolled Tacos’ famous ice cream.
There are several sitting areas at Sweet Rolled Tacos, but it can be difficult to find a spot on Friday nights! Large family groups show up on Friday nights to enjoy ice cream and socialize.
You can find tables with chairs, as well as a long bar-style area with bar stools. If you’re lucky, you might snag a spot on the platform area with comfy chairs and a sofa.
If you are not a patient person, I wouldn’t recommend going on Friday nights. It can be quite busy!
The service is good, but because it gets so busy sometimes you may have to wait for your ice cream order.
The rolled tacos are definitely the star of the show – they’re soft, chewy, and stuffed full of delicious ice cream flavors.
The process of making a Sweet Rolled Taco takes time. All the tacos are made with premium cream, and the people who prepare your delicious treat roll it by hand on a cold plate.
The rolled ice cream is then placed into a waffle cone in the shape of a taco shell. It’s so pretty to look at!
You can actually choose between red, purple, blue, black, or original waffle cones, though they all taste the same!

Then they add the whipped cream, drizzles of chocolate or whatever you choose and placed into a paper dish.

Sweet Rolled Tacos is all about providing an enjoyable experience for its customers, so they can pick and choose what they want to eat and how they want to eat it.
They even add spoons for customers who wanted to eat them that way, or they could be eaten like tacos!
I ordered the Chocolate Brownie Bliss, and it was definitely a delicious choice. It was creamy, and the sweetness was just right. The presentation was also very pretty, making it the perfect Instagram-worthy dessert.

I had the best experience buying ice cream at the Sweet Rolled Tacos. They took the time to roll up my scoop of ice cream in the most perfect way, and the flavor combinations are spot on.
I’ve been a fan of ice cream for as long as I can remember, and this first experience at Sweet Rolled Tacos is in my top 3 of all time!
The ambiance at Sweet Rolled Tacos is warm, and the structure is clean. The prices are also very affordable.
Overall, Sweet Rolled Tacos is a unique and fun experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for something different in Provo/Orem. After all, it has a 5-star rating, so you know it’s good! 🙂
