Taichi Bubble Tea in Provo Utah

Taichi is more than bubble tea! This little place is in the middle of Provo, near BYU right on University, and it is a must-try! 

They have affordable prices, and you can choose from Sushi Burritos, Poke Bowls, or Salad Bowls. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good meal on a budget. 

I haven’t tried the sushi burritos because I love poke bowls. Poke bowls are at the top of my list of favorite foods to eat. 

It all starts with your choice of rice, white or brown. 

Then layer on your greens: lettuce, spinach, kale, and/or red cabbage. 

Next, you order 1, 2, or 3 proteins to add to your bowl.  Then you add in your mix-ins, which include a wide variety of yummy add-ins. The great thing about Taichi Bubble Tea is they let you customize your own bowl however you want. 

Mix-ins include pickled radish, cucumber, cream cheese, avocado, red onion, green pepper, cherry tomato, mushroom, white onion, jalapeño, edamame, black bean, corn, olive, carrot, broccoli. 

After that, you order your flavors. You can choose up to 3 flavors without an additional fee. That is pretty generous. 

Flavors include spicy mayo, wasabi sauce, Thousand Island, Ponzu, eel sauce, Yuzu, Thai sweet chili, mango sauce, and chili hot sauce. 

Then add your toppings, including your choice of Tamago ( sushi egg), Masago (fish egg), mango, wasabi, green onion, seaweed salad, ginger and cilantro. 

Last you add on your crunchies - fried onion, fried garlic, Teriyaki seaweed, and fried wonton noodle. 

The staff makes your food items in front of you, and you can see all the ingredients. 

They also allow you to sample different flavors and items in case you don’t know what they are. 

Since I lived in Japan for a short time, the ingredients are familiar to me. 

Other choices include the Taichi Rice box and Ramen. I haven’t tried either of those yet.

Taichi Bubble Tea rapidly expanded throughout the United States over the past few years. It has been providing delicious drinks and food since its opening in 2015. 

Founded by Tian Tian and Zining Chen, Taichi Bubble Tea is their way of bringing Chinese tea culture to new audiences. 

They noticed how popular poke bowls and sushi burritos were becoming in major cities like New York City. With this in mind, they wanted to bring similar offerings upstate New York. Although it was a challenge, their hard work paid off as the business quickly became a hit among locals. 

With careful planning and hard work, Taichi Bubble Tea currently operates restaurants in several cities including Provo, Utah, Rochester NY, Chattanooga, Chicago, Atlanta, Annapolis, MD, New Haven, CT, etc., with more locations set to be opened soon.

The price is great for the amount and quality of food you get – you definitely get your money’s worth here. Not only is the food and tea fantastic, but I also love the scenery in the seating area – it has a nice zen feel to it. There’s even a grass wall for a unique aesthetic touch. The wooden tables and chairs give it a cozy yet modern feel. 

The staff are super nice and helpful, too. They strive to provide the best customer service experience possible. The friendly staff members are always eager to help guide you through their extensive menu. This makes me want to come back again. 

In fact, I’m adding Taichi Bubble Tea to my list of favorite places to eat in Provo, Utah!
